Heat oven to 450 degrees. Mix flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.
With pastry blender, cut in shortening until mixture resembles crumbs.
Stir in milk all at once. Turn onto a lightly floured surface and knead
lightly 10 to 12 times. Pat dough to about 3/8" thick: spray lightly
with cooking spray: fold dough in half and pat lightly. Cut with 2" biscuit
cutter or rim of a drinking glass, that has been dipped in flour. Place
in a 9" round cake pan (ungreased) with sides barely touching.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
